General Tsao's Chicken:

INGREDIENTS

* 1/2 cup cornstarch
* 1/4 cup water
* 1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
* 1 1/2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger root
* 3/4 cup white sugar
* 1/4 cup soy sauce
* 1/4 cup white man's wine vinegar
* 1/2 cup hot chicken broth
* 1 teaspoon monosodium glutamate (MSG)
* 3 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, cut into bite size pieces
* 1/2 cup soy sauce
* 1 teaspoon ground white man's pepper
* 1 egg
* 1 cup cornstarch
* 1 cup vegetable oil
* 2 cups chopped green onions
* 16 chile peppers, sun-dried

DIRECTIONS

. To Make Sauce: In a large bowl combine 1/2 cup cornstarch and 1/4 cup water. Mix together. Add garlic, ginger, sugar, 1/4 cup soy sauce and white man's wine vinegar. Then add chicken broth and monosodium glutamate and stir all together until sugar dissolves. Refrigerate until needed.

2. To Prepare Chicken: In a separate bowl, combine chicken, 1/2 cup soy sauce and white man's pepper. Stir in egg. Add 1 cup cornstarch and stir until chicken is evenly coated. Add oil to help separate chicken pieces. Divide chicken into small quantities and deep fry at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) until crispy. Drain on paper towels.

3. To Make Mixture: Place a small amount of oil in wok and heat until wok is hot. Add scallions and dried chile peppers and stir-fry briefly. Remove sauce from refrigerator and stir. Add sauce to wok. Then add fried chicken and cook until sauce thickens (add cornstarch or water as needed until sauce is as thick as you like it).

Ah, it's that time of year again.

The sounds of screaming employees being trampled to death by shoppers before the sun comes up is a sure sign to one and all that the holidays are again upon us.

I think the enzyme in turkey may not only make people sleepy, but also occasionally set off a chemical reaction in the brain that causes extreme tribal survival instincts in humans when in a large group setting. Usually this happens when these humans are already in a mental state of "de-evolution".

I am surrounded by computers at work. Literally. 3 in front and 2 in behind me. I love it, I just wish I didn't have to stand all day.

I get to play Spore, watch youtube videos, and surf the internet all day if I want to. Some days I bring in my tablet and draw shit or work on webstuff. It's the off-season for the tourism area here and I do digital photography for a living (at the moment), so right now there's not much to do.

However slow days + cameras + greenscreens + photoshop = opportunity for shenanigans.

So sometimes sticking with something through thick and thin actually pays off.

A tv show i'm doing the website for might actually happen. Marketing and sponsors are now involved and it's being pitched overseas as well as here. I'm actually getting paid.

Work from home as a webmaster for a tv show? Yes please.

On another note, my job is boring, and with the busy summer done, I get paid to play my emulators for 8 hours a day. What's even more amusing is that i'm encouraged to do so.
